Idea to App: Using Lovable to Create a GTM Funnel Calculator

Like many people I want to learn more about artificial intelligence (AI). This post is part of a series where I experiment with AI tools, share what I build and learn. My hope is that these posts will create discussion around this transformational technology, its use cases and maybe even help others on their journey of AI discovery.

The focus of this experiment was to use AI tools to create a GTM Funnel Calculator - an app that shows how many leads a Marketing team needs to generate, so a Sales team can hit its number. I used Lovable to create the app, and it can be seen below (you can also view it on Lovable).

The Brief

I built a dynamic marketing and sales funnel calculator using Lovable, an AI-powered no-code app builder. My goal was to help GTM teams model their funnel stages, simulate conversion rates, and forecast revenue outcomes in real time. The entire build took just a few hours from concept to launch.

I began by mapping the core funnel stages: Website Visitors, MQLs, SALs, Opportunities, and Closed Won Deals. I then wrote a natural-language prompt in Lovable describing the functionality: editable inputs, stage-by-stage conversion logic, real-time calculations, and a visual funnel representation. Lovable’s AI instantly generated the structure, layout, and logic for the tool - no coding required.

From there, I refined the UX: replacing static text with input fields, layering in dynamic formulas (e.g. SALs = MQLs × conversion rate), and adding a revenue projection module based on average deal size. I then asked Lovable to create a horizontal funnel visualization that updated in real time, allowing users to see exactly where leads drop off and how small changes impact downstream revenue.

Once the calculator logic and visuals were working, I deployed it using Lovable’s built-in hosting and shared it publicly. The result is a lightweight, customisable app that teams can use to stress-test their funnel strategy.

Lovable made the entire process fast, intuitive, and flexible - it’s the perfect platform for turning ideas into real, working GTM tools.
